First: hugs for you. Second: I'm so sorry you had to experience this. I have bouts with psychosis and they terrify me. I think the valerian root was a good call until you get home. You might also try some chamomile tea or chamomile, lavender, or valerian essential oils (or really any scent you find soothing - I use sandalwood and jasmine but if I'm really having problems I reach for the valerian).
