I definitely think its true. My brother had bipolar disorder - he had a genius IQ and was extremely artistic. He could paint pictures, copy great artists paintings, do the art where you use fine tip black ink drawings, where you do tiny little strokes.

I had a school friend who got straight A's effortlessly on everything. Unfortunately she ended her life when she was 18.
