Create your own project; start saving $5 a week for an FTP (Future Therapy Project). Treat it like you would "school"/college? They cost about the same these days. Set out your ideal course, what you'd like to gain in therapy and pretend that were possible, lay it all out like you were designing your ideal school system. Get a notebook and start planning/writing about it and working on what preliminary learning you'll need?
For example, if you are afraid to talk to other people so think you'd "waste time" when you do get a therapist because you'd be afraid, start "practicing" with store clerks, librarians, other people like that. I always work on my people skills at the grocery store, ask the checkout clerk how many more hours she has to work, talk about the weather and other "common" issues like that, practice looking at her name tag and using her name without it being obvious, LOL.
A free, online book I love that might give you ideas and hope is Barbara Sher's book, "Wishcraft"
