I finally am able to find an insurance company that works with medicare to help pay for my huge med bill every month. I had put a call into medicare to find out if their part D would help in paying for the narcotics that I have to use continually for my migraines. They said that it wasn't a med that they cover & I would get no help from them even if I did enroll in their new drug coverage.

My husband was in the drug store picking one of my other meds & saw a flyer for another insurance company that works with medicare & their cost is taken out of my disability check even before it is deposited. They actually cover that drug which is the first relief I have had with that $900/month for over a year. Prior to that I had put in a financial need request with the drug company & for some reason they must have made a mistake or something, but they paid my med in full for 6 months. When I re applied, they said that my income was too high (because I was using up the end of my IRA money which was considered to be income).

It is the best coverage I have been able to find....It costs about $50/month, then you have to pay $5 or 5% up to the point they have paid $2100....then I pay full up to the amount of $5000.....then I go back to paying $5 or 5%. As soon as my income tax finally shows up that I no longer have any income now that I have used up all my IRA money, they hopefully I can go back to having the drug company cover the cost after dropping the insurance (they won't pay if you have any drug insurance). Geeze....it gets complicated tryin to find out how you can save the most amount of money when everyone out there is trying to get it away from you.

Hope all of you in the US that are on Medicare have been able to find an insurance program to help with the huge cost of meds,
