In a nutshell, that's what serious depression is all about. It's hard to think of anything worse than to feel that way.

Oddly enough, the really worst people running around are surprisingly unlikely to feel that way about themselves. Besides that, lots of the worst murdering cold-blooded gangsters seem to have had no trouble finding pals and devoted lovers. Maybe you're better than you think.
