Hi everyone. This is the first time I have been on a medicine. I recently was prescribed vyvanse for adhd. (It is a stimulant made by the same company that makes Adderall I believe)

The first day, I felt "on top of the world," -- almost high.

The next two days, I did not feel that. But I have better focus, feel calmer, MUCH more awake and not feeling sluggish, getting better sleep, etc.

This may be a dumb question.... BUT....

1) Am I supposed to get that "top of the world feeling" as part of the "stimulant" action or am I supposed to be medicated for the other things I am noticing.

2) Also, you know how some medicines take awhile to "build-up" for full effect (like an anti-depressant), is that true with stimulants?

Thanks everyone!
