I think first I would have a talk with my doctor, and make sure there are any physical reasons why your memory is lacking.

I'm on several medications, and some of them affect the memory. It is very frustrating! I've read where doing crossword puzzles helps with memory, and I do them all the time. It does seem to help.

There are times when someone is talking about something, and i don't find it particularly interesting -- so I don't pay attention. I don't do this PURPOSELY --- it just happens! Then I end up feeling like an idiot when I mention something that had to do with what they were talking about, and they have to remind me that they already told me! LOL So I NEED to pay more attention --- and use mental "bookmarks" to help retain things.
