I have a set of Cuisinart pots and pans, but I don't remember anything about not cooking on high heat. I just cook with them. I also put them all in the dishwasher. Probably also a no-no. I haven't had any problems with the pans being destroyed.

I understand you want them to stay nice, but really, what good are they if you don't use them? And mine, after several years, are still nice and shiny.
