Are these pans non stick radio flyer. If they are, then highest heat isn't recommended because it breaks down the non stick coating. I make this one dish that requires caramelized onions which requires maximum heat and this will totally ruin the non stick surface. I have to use a regular aluminum pan. Cooking on high heat with non sticks pans is also unhealthy. Did you know if a teflon pan start chipping and we eat it...it stays in the body. I'm looking forward to getting anodized aluminum pans which are non stick without the Teflon. We don't have them here yet in Canada.
Really I don't know how you stand it when other women are regularly in your kitchen and I can understand why you would be bothered. No I don't think you're being fussy. If theses are aluminum /stainless steel, you can buy a pot/pan cleaner that's a powder which works well to take off stains.
