I'm not sure I'll be much help since I'm not sure my diagnosis would be accurate any more. I was diagnosed with depression about 9 or 10 years ago. But looking over my journals (when I actually do manage to keep up with them) I'm sure there's something else "there".
I don't know what kind of things you're seeing and hearing, so I can't say I'm going through the "exact" same thing. But for the past 1-2 years, I have gone through something like it.
When it comes to seeing this, I'll mostly see random lights out of the corner of my eye. In the beginning, I didn't realize they weren't there but when I pointed them out to someone else (I was seeing these in the middle of the night sometimes, mind you), no one else had seen them. As far as hearing things goes, that happens just as often for me. It will often be random sounds that I hear very distinctly - once again, that no one else does. But will sometimes be distinct voices, too. These, I've always been aware aren't there and so, they've always gave me a start.
Don't be afraid to mention all this to your doc if you haven't already. I wish you the best.
