I love Adderall. What are you looking for in an ADHD med (that Strattera didn't satisfy)? I've never tried Strattera, or any of the "non-stimulant" meds... but from what I've heard from friends who've taken Strattera, I'd guess that Adderall will make you more energized, and possibly also more anxious and irritable. Sometimes all of the energy is distracting in itself.

Adderall starts working immediately (which is why it has such appeal on college campuses). Some people stay on 20mg, the average is 40mg, and 60-80mg is the highest dose, though 80mg is rarely prescribed. I'm prescribed 60mg, but usually take 20-40mg. 60mg makes me feel kinda cracked out, and stay up all night. The nice part about the med is that it can be prescribed on an "as needed" basis. I stopped it cold turkey this Christmas, with no withdrawal symptoms.
