I think soy makes me more emotional, but I can't tell for sure. Most birth control pills now are low-estrogen, since estrogen makes you hungrier, more moody, and be unable to lose weight. Before ortho-tricyclen made the current low-estrogen version, I lost 10lbs in a few weeks after stopping the pill... with no changes in exercise or diet. But I don't know if the levels of soy that I'm consuming are high enough to cause an effect...

I think I'm finally coming out of my ravenous/emotional PMS time -- last night I was able to limit myself to 1/4 of a piece of Dulce du Leche cake (for my sugar fix). I was totally in that racing-mind feeling that I get when I feel like I need to binge, but managed to calm myself down.

Why don't men have anything comparable to a menstrual cycle?!
