Hmmmm. Indie, do you need the money? Will it be hard to find another job? So far as I'm concerned, and I'm not familiar with you or your situation, those are the only two questions that are relevant. If you need the money, and if it won't be hard to find another job, take a walk. If you don't need the money, take a walk. You have no moral obligation toward your present employers. It's not silly, or selfish, or whatever to quit any job you may have, provided you've seriously thought about any possible negative consequences. So it's really, really, really not a matter for self-torture.

Are you supporting a family? Or are you simply responsible for yourself? That too needs to be asked and answered. Really, it's not worth all that internal struggle. Some people (including me) even think that having had many different kinds of jobs is a plus. A broader experience base. Tending in the future to a greater degree of personal calm when all kinds of life events happen. You sound very unhappy in this present job. So, either if you don't need the money or if you can find another, better job easily, take a walk! It's really not the biggest deal in the world. Take care!
