I'm being asked to help out a friend on an assignment (we're in the same class)

Normally I'd be happy to help... Only problem? I DON'T GET IT MYSELF. I've told her this, she doesn't listen.

What am I? Seriously. Am I resource to be used and not care about the fact I've got my own stuff to deal with FIRST???
