I have to start getting mammograms as of this year, can't put it off any longer. Then as expected to get one every year or two years thereafter; as there is no history in the family of cancer, at least breast CA, doc said she would be ok with every two years but I have heard it is better annually. My questions are these:

1. What can I expect with this test?
2. Wouldn't it be better to get them done annually?

The insight will help to ease fears as for some reason I'm really nervous about this, and baring my chest to this radiology person. I know they've seen them before but still, not looking forward to this.

It may seem silly to some so I appreciate your patience, and THANKS in advance for your response and insight!
