Hi ladies

Yes, the UK National Health Service is absolutely wonderful. Dentistry used to be free but now you have to pay a little towards it, but it's still free for children up to 16).
I am so surprised that the US (the richest country in the world) hasn't yet got to grips with it. We pay only about 11% of our salaries into it each month, for which we get total health care (visits to GPs, hospital treatment, operations, etc), plus at age 60/65 we get a State Pension (although they are discussing extending the retirement age as people are living so much longer - thanks for course to the thorough health-care we all have).

I think maybe it smacks too much of socialism (communism) for the US to embrace such a notion. They think it's a dirty word when in fact it's only taking care of people whatever their income.
