i think knowing and consolidating all of the triggers and cues that led to your depressive state will help you form red flags. knowing these helps you gauge whether or not you need immediate care.

also, it will help you if you don't try to over analyze your mood on a day to day basis. otherwise you become so preoccupied with how you're feeling that you forget to live a little. it is REALLY easy to fall into that trap, where you second guess how you're feeling and wonder if its attributed to the bp or if it is really you. thats why it is important that you learn triggers and indicators (like sleep for example) so you can live and treat the 'flare ups' as they come.

there is no reason why we can't live our lives as fully as other people 'without' MI. (1 in 4 adults are said to be afflicted by some sort of MI hehe)
