Sometimes the skills are not enough.
Sometimes there are wounds which have to be felt and cleansed.
It hurts to have to go through the trauma healing.
But sometimes that is the only thing that will let a person move forward.
IMHO the CBT skills and such are GREAT for the ability to ground and focus on daily living. But all the CBT in the universe will not take away the internal agony a person with internal pain has to process. Sometimes the only way through the ocean is to swim.
