DCD, BNLsMOM? Excellent! (Weird timing! BF just re-hung his framed DCD posters -- he saw all their US tours --
yesterday! "Re-hung" because they had been packed for a move that didn't happen.)
As for music, most of it I listen to the same stuff regardless of mood, but will slant the focus sometimes. I
LOVE with a ferocious passion music that many people consider depressing. I don't consider it depressing. It has often kept me holding on when I can't relate to anything else. It makes me feel understood and is a great release to be able to sing along with depth and intensity. (And it doesn't
need to be "depressing" songs, lol! I sing 'em all!) And when manic-y, you can add a lot of jumping around and dancing! Everything! All at once!
What I listen to:...(remember, I listen to all of it all of the time, the frequency of given songs just shifts a little...)
Joy Division: All. If you saw my apartment, you would have no further questions.
The Cure: most all, but not much on the pop-y ones. I'd hardly know where to begin listing individual songs, but can say that IMO, the albums Pornography and Disintegration are pure brilliance. When manic-y, I cannot get enough of the song 'Give Me It' off The Top.
Interpol: all, esp. TOTBL and OLTA. Manic-y songs? Roland + Say Hello to the Angels. I always have to laugh at a line in Rest My Chemistry... "Just some rage and 3 kinds of yes". "3 kinds of yes". Heheh. Brilliant.
Editors: Just the first two albums.
Much else of course, but these 4 groups are never amiss in my book...and always in high rotation.
(Yikes. Long post. Just
try shutting me up on the topic of music...
