I replied on the earlier exercise thread, and my experience is that healthy eating and exercise go hand in hand for me. As manicminer said, what you eat affects how beneficial your exercise is. For example, after I have a serious workout (especially weight lifting) I have a DELICIOUS protein shake to recover so my muscle tissue will heal faster.
In the past when I used to eat unhealthy foods and binge, it would make me feel depressed. Since I stopped that and began eating healthier foods, I have definitely noticed a positive change in my mood. I also make sure to eat every 4 hours or so, otherwise my body will start to feel too hungry and I could binge as a result.
