hankster,

I had to ask my Pdoc for a referral, turns out you do not need one as this is a private clinic.
The Dr. I met today asked a lot of questions and then has recommended the sleep test - polysomnogram and the one where you nap 5 times sleep latency test.

I have decided to go ahead- and on Oct 17th I am going out for a sleep over.

The best part of the appointment is that he did not think it was sleep apnea.
The medications can have an impact on the results. But the tests should rule out sleep apnea.

I was worried that I would be treated as less than a person, and I have to say that the Dr said many people have untreated sleep issues and depression. I am not alone. He spends a lot of time in education of Pdoc and others about untreated sleep issues.

So you are having the consultation due to other health conditions?

This morning I googled depression and insomnia and read a few stories of people with depression getting great relief.
