You shouldn't have to "reset" boundaries if you STICK to them in the first place.  Let him know in no uncertain terms that you will NOT be taking care of any more animals, OR FORBID any more animals from coming into the house -- no matter WHAT the reason!!! It's not your job to be zookeeper! You have enough on your plate already just being a mother!!!
Find good homes for these pets -- and tell him NO MORE. It's too time-consuming plus very expensive to care for animals. I love pets, but ONE is sufficient.
