I'm sorry you're having a rough time. If you really want to stop then you can and I'm sure you will, one day. This doesn't mean that it's easy though. It never is.

Have you really tried to distract yourself? Did you want to be distracted? Or did you do it just so you could tell yourself I did try?! Because it is possible to be distracted if you're intent on it. You can watch TV, listen to music, call a friend, take a cold/warm/hot (whichever one you like best) shower or bath, leave the house and go for a walk/run, I don't know, ANYTHING! A lot of the time the urge is too strong and none of it works, but sometimes it does and you have to concentrate on that sometimes. There's something else too. You don't go to bed as a cutter and wake up the next morning a non-cutter! You quit gradually. You're doing it every day now? Okay, try making it every other day. less if you can. Then once every three days, once a week, once a fortnight, once a month and so on. And keep posting here. Let us know how things are going. My bestest thoughts and prayers go to you

Btw, how is it possible to hurt yourself without knowing it? Can you explain that part for me?
