Depending on if you are taking the lecture or the practical lab with it...
For me, making flashcards helped for A&P and if taking the lab, there are pre-made colored flashcards with pictures to help for the structures and associations for their locations. I carried these around with me everywhere to squeeze in looking at them whenever there was a free opportunity, even if it was a few minutes. The other thing that helped, the newer books come with a CD or website for interactive learning, which was the most helpful to me being a visual and tactile learner. Check in the front of the book to see if there is a website for this available, if a CD did not come with it or sometimes both.

I usually don't go to study groups but for this class found it helpful because there are a lot of associations that others come up with to remembering things; it might be really helpful to you too. Review session are helpful if offered. If taking the lab, if they offer extra times to go in, go. It is worth it to have that time to spend with the specimens and slides, really helped especially come exam time.

There are other teaching tools for A&P that some other students tried such as coloring books, not worth the time or money. For practical A&P; there was a book of overlays, with the colored structured pictures/drawings and a clear transparency with the names you could lay over top to test with instead of using the flash cards; if you can find this instead; this was used a lot too and was helpful as well. Check out a regular bookstore for these and the other flashcards.

Take good care of you and good luck!!!
