Make it clear if you're looking for a babysitting job or volunteering, if money is an issue, esp for her? Think ahead of time about what kind of time commitment you might be willing to make. Then again, you don't know if you will get along with the person. I tried something similar with a lady in our building, just being neighborly, I thought. I think it's very sweet of you.
