I have read that your dreams are a representation of yourself, and someone once told me to insert "I" in place of the things you see in your dreams.

"In my dream the sky was the deepest blue I'd ever seen it became stormy and dark quite suddenly."

Would be "I was the deepest blue I'd ever seen and I became stormy and dark quite suddenly."

I have NO IDEA if this is true, but I have used it before and it made sense at the time.
