One thing I do know though is that people with HIV have a much better prognosis than they did when the illness first arose. I personally know people who've been living with HIV for over twenty years, with a good quality of life. They take their meds, drink plenty of water, and eat healthy. I understand that this could be a problem for your daughter, at least as things currently stand, but never give up hope. Things truly can turn around. One of my friends actually told me that the best thing that ever happened to him was getting HIV, because "it made me realise how precious my life was, and I started living it, instead of pissing it away." Despite some early scares he's lived with HIV for seventeen years.

I don't know whether you believe in prayer or not, but with your permission, I'll pray for your daughter... and you. Don't blame yourself. You pulled your life together. That's an example your daughter can still aspire to.

Is she your only child?

Thank-you, prayer is always appreciated! She is my first born, my husband and I have a combined family of 7 children. Mine all have small issues, she is the only one with major issues right now.(Mental health wise)
