I don't have a husband or partner to offer me that type of support so this was amazing to me that a blanket could help me. Would a warm human being be better? yes, but when that's not in the picture this has been very helpful.

I have a weighted blankie also! I love it and use it multiple times a day. I have PTSD and also have a really hard time with sensory integration. (for example; bright lights, sounds, clothes touching my skin) and when my body is on sensory overload this helps to calm me down and it also helps with dissociating. I have a 16 lb. It is supposed to be 10% of your body weight plus a pound. The max that you can get is a 20lb. My therapist recommended it and it is the best thing EVER! Everyone should have one. It is supposed to help with schizophrenia and insomnia as well.
