People can have hallucinations with Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, Bipolar, severe anxiety with psychotic features and such.
Perhaps your pdoc is not sure of your true dx yet and is staying with anxiety disorder for now, so as to not misdiagnose you? .... I'd ask at your next appt.
