I'm awaiting a breakdown of the insurance quote after calling them to discuss. I was gassed up on anesthesia and could barely talk when I paid the dental bill, and I don't want to upset them because my next operation is quoted as costing twice as much, and I shudder to think how much I'll be charged if I rub them the wrong way. And they do say something at the start about how the actual cost may be "a little bit more". They also say how they're just covering costs, but the amount being charged is the same as the figure I got from an expensive private practice dentist for the identical procedure.
