It seems (to my mind) has become different, it sounds like the dream is expressing abandonment, or hoplessness, or the feeling of being alone, or all the above.
Simaller things showed up in my dreams when I was depressed, as the depression bled over into my dreams.
Or I'm wrong, the only person who can say for sure what it means is you.
