Hi folks,

A bit of good news. After my recent wave of depression (failed to get on plane, cancelled gig etc) Things seem to be levelling out.

The usual strategies of dropping some responsibilities, resting, detoxing etc, have worked again and I have some stability. I'm writing this from my daughter's flat in London, and I've been OK with the visit, and even with a day out in the crowded city.

I think it needs repeating that depression and anxiety tend to come in waves, and the worst bit (for me) is when it first kicks in. It always feels like the end of the world when it hits, and I always get through it.

For us long termers in the illness this must be a positive message. There is life after a downturn.

Cheers, M

PS - I've had some supportive messages, and that was just so helpful, even though I'm a person who hates asking for help!
