I am also 24 and going back to school! I'm waiting to hear if my transfer application was accepted or not. I'm going to be finishing my undergrad degree after taking over a year and a half off (plus a year off in between the two schools I went to previously). I'm going to be living off campus, but very, very close to campus with my fiance.

At my last university, they had a dorm that was "Non Traditional Student Housing." I believe it was mostly grad students, but there were some adult students there as well. I think it was also open during the holidays, unlike regular student housing.

Also, universities vary on alcohol policies. The first university I attended was a dry campus, so no alcohol anywhere on the premises regardless of age. The second wasn't a dry campus, and students over 21 were allowed to have alcohol in their dorms, even if their roommate was under 21. There was a limit on how much alochol was allowed (roughly a 6 pack, a bottle of wine, or bottle of liquor, I think 250 mL?).

At the university I applied to and am now waiting to hear from, they seem to consider students to be non-traditional/adult to be 25 and older. You should check with your intended school's Non-Traditional Students department. (And in regards to your other thread, they might have scholarships you can apply for that are only open to Non-Trad. students).

Feel free to PM me if you want to talk more about this stuff!
