Job hunting in my opinion is one of the most soul sucking, negative processes that anyone can go through. I'm looking for work too - I've been unemployed for the better part of a year, and the rejections hurt. I know a lot of it's the economy being lousy, but it's still hard to not take the rejections personally. It's really hard to stay motivated. But I keep trying because I don't have any other option really... and I know I'll find something eventually, because I always have.

I'd second the recommendation to volunteer. I volunteer on a telephone support line every Fri. night and I love it. It's totally outside of my field, but I've been doing it for three years now and it honestly gives me something to look forward to. I'm waiting now to hear back about a volunteer position that would be in my field, which might help me in the job search.

I'm guessing that you're still in school, yes? Volunteer experience and even extra curricular activities go a long way towards helping getting into the program, post secondary school you want. I even got a university schollarship, on top of my academic schollarship, due to my high school extra curricular activities. And when I graduated from Uni. in the middle of the '91 recession, I got a job entirely thanks to the volunteer positions I'd held in student government. So there's lots of ways to gain useful experience, beyond just having a job.

Good luck and stay safe.
