I think if you are feeling really anxious, then seeing a therapist or counselor is a good idea. When you first see the therapist, you can talk about confidentiality with her so you know for sure if there is anything she might tell your Mom. My daughter (age 17) has a therapist, and the therapist keeps what they talk about in their sessions very private. Good luck to you.
