It's only been 1 week since the shingles reared their ugly, monstrous heads, but it feels like a month. I was basically just uncomfortable when I last wrote, then it peaked to PAIN...my main activity was waiting for the next time I could take another dose of pain meds.

Now it seems to be subsiding somewhat...still uncomfortable, but I'm going a LOT longer between pain meds.

I have an online diary and when I wrote about it there, people came out of the woodwork who have had shingles, including one of my good friend's husband.

So, that's why I haven't been around recently.
