Your post got my attention. I am on full-time disability from now on.....And I used to be a college professor! I sure know about boredom. Right now I am writing a book. That helps to pass the time. I also belong to a social club, read, get out with friends twice a week ( just for a cup of coffee, if the budget is tight), do a bit of volunteering, play computer games, and have an official "date" with my husband once a week. Couples have to make time for each other! Of course, I also keep up with certain TV shows, rent movies, am on Facebook, and go on PC sometimes.

I sure hope you can go back to work---when you are ready. But, there is a life during disability. I so wish I could go back to my job, but.....

By the way, I also have physical health problems that limit my ability to do housework. Sure wish you could come over and help me with mine!
