I jsut found out today that I've been confirmed for nomination as Treasurer of the Board of Directors, of a social enterprise courier company that's run entirely by and staffed only by psych consumers. I should be confirmed at next Wed's, Annual General Meeting.

I'm psyched about it for several reasons. I'm really interested in social enterprise as a means of alieviating poverty. It'll be a chance to use my accounting skills until I can find a job. I can actually put it on my resume, since it's not obvious from the company name that they have anything to do with psych consumers. And I can use the time I spend volunteering on the board, towards the required hours I have to do for Continuing Education and Professional Development Credits.

I think this is going to be fun.
