Hi all,

AS I contnue to learn about asperger's, I had a situation last month that I found humor in due to having asperger's.

I was visiting with a friend in anohter state and we were watching a fishing program (in his younger days he was into fishing and hunting). The guy in the show caught a salmon. My frined said to me that the best way to eat a salmon is right out of the water. I instantly pictured someone catching one and eating it like that – raw and alive, but I didn't say anything. Then he said that when he was in Canada once on a fishing trip, they caught salmon and cooked it as soon as they caught it and it was delicious. It was like “ah – that’s what he meant by right out of the water.”

Anyone have any similar instances where they took things so literally at first?

Thanks,

Frito
