Short of cosmetic surgery there in nothing you can do with the scars and cosmetic surgury cost mega bucks and most insurance does not cover it at least not state insurances.

Im glad your boyfriend sees it that way. many significant others find self harm scars offensive. Basically from his response he was telling you that he has accepted that they are there and it makes no difference to him he accepts you how you are, as you are... thats love.

once a scar is made unless you have the bucks and means of getting surgery yea those scars are going to be with you for the rest of your life. Hating them isn't going to make them go away so some people make the best of them for example getting a tatoo as a part of the scar so instead of a reminder of something gross they become a work of art.

Other people like me that have scars - well Irarely pay attention to them. I know they are there but sitting around hating them and making myself miserable about them isnt going to make them disappear so they are just there. I neither go out of my way to cover them or flaunt them they are just there like my eyes are there and my nose is there and my arms and legs are there. kind of like having my c section scar its just there so what millions of people go through that every day. well millions of people in this world have scars from cutting and other self harm activites. Im no different and my scars are no different. they are just there.
