This is shown quite dramatically in a video that was linked to on another thread, the "Still Face Experiment". When the mother ignores the baby, he first gets upset and then completely falls apart. I empathized so completely with the baby that I knew
exactly what he was feeling. I cried so hard I nearly had an asthma attack. It's amazing because the mother is not abusive or angry - her face is simply blank. And yes, I will be discussing this with T.
