We all feel like that sometimes. But a heartfelt "I know how you feel" can mean a lot. Or even just a hug. I've "quit" SI years ago and yet I still do some things that could be called SI. Doesn't mean I stop giving advice because sometimes it's easier to help someone else than to help ourselves.
As long as you're trying to be kind, people know you mean well. And sometimes we all just want to know we've been heard.
