Yes. I apparently did not pass out, but several years ago I walked to a local grocery store and the next thing I knew I was in the hospital. People said I had been acting strange, not responding, so they called the ambulance. Doctor named it something like "global amnesia" and said that it happens sometimes, and they don't know why. I never regained any memories of what happened in the missing time. I asked my doctor what would have happened if I had been driving, and he said I would have known enough to control the car, but, I don't know about that!
Since then I have wondered if it could have been due to an electrolyte imbalance or deficiency. Those things affect the state of consciousness...
