That is totally inappropriate behavior on her part. I'm glad you were able to stand up to her and get someone else. I'm glad they were willing to accommodate you. I would make a written report about the tech's behavior to whoever is the supervisor at the clinic you were at. That tech should be loosing her job for that behavior (and no in some cases there shouldn't be a second chance). There is no excuse for treating patients like crap. Even if she were to be still in school to learn the tech work this would be unacceptable. I don't know if this is somewhere you use routinely (like it is part of your PCP's or OBGYN's office and so you might see the tech again (if she keeps her job). But if that is so, I would ask them to write in your chart that that tech is to never work with you. I would be so furious and demanding a letter of apology. I'm so sorry this idiotic **** made what was already a hard experience even worse.
