My wife increases her Depakote by 250 mg a day during that time (with her pdoc's approval, of course) and it really helps her.

Two months ago she went back on the pill, even though she has had a tubal and it has helped not only when premenstral, but it has helped her Depakote work better all month long by evening out her hormones.
