I know of 2 people who were offered paid jobs at their volunteer places. You do a good job, they get to know you, etc etc. Of course they make you sign a paper that you don't EXPECT to get hired, but that doesn't mean THEY can't change their mind. Plus every day you are learning something new, improving your people skills, and possibly impressing someone who could use someone just like you! I am very excited for you, and plan to do the same as soon as I get MY stuff together. I went for an orientation meeting a couple of years ago, but I was too flipped out by it, I couldn't really keep it together. I think I am getting better. I will try again maybe in six months or a year and see how that one goes.
