You said it yourself: this would be a bad decision. I also think you need to look behind the real reasons for wanting to make such a bad decision.

I think you are hanging out with the wrong people. I think you know that. I also think that that is the reason you can't go to your dad, who has all the good reasons to not put this into your good life. He'd make you quit hanging around with them, wouldn't he. Well, another bad decision won't make the first one right either.

Swim against the current. Those are the fish that don't get eaten. Everyone else following the crowd get caught in the nets together.

Your grades will go down, your attitude will change, your relationship with those who wish you hadn't tried the mj (to which you would then be addicted and looking to try something else, hey why not? You followed your friends already..) anyway, those relationships will become strained... you could lose the hopes of your future, you could lose your life. It's not all it's cut out to be.

Yes, most of the young people probably are trying it. IDK why they couldn't learn from a generation that has "been there, done that" but trust all of us telling you don't do it.

If you really need to change your life that dramatically, talk to your folks and see what they can find to interest you more.

If you are really ready to grow up...act like the adult you are capable of being at 17, then talk to your dad and tell him what you tell us... (Or go see Courageous with him.)
