I'm from the UK but I've never heard of a hospital psychology unit. Do you mean you've been referred to a psychologist who happens to be based in a hospital? That's what happened to me - I've currently been waiting 3 months for an assessment interview to see if I get to go on the (horrifically long) actual waiting list. Have no idea what to expect though so I can't offer any help, sorry! But I hope you don't have to wait too long - good luck!
