Just remember, Eating Disorders include overeating to the point of being obese, anorexia, bulimia. The eating disorders treatment center I was in had mostly obese people in it back in 1994 at the time I was there for anorexia. It was hard to relate to them in groups......but the bottom line is that the same things are usually at the bottom of any eating disorder. There is usually some strong emotional injury that exists no matter which direction the eating disorder goes in. Not all people with anorexia are that way because they think they are overweight when they aren't either
One has to understand....overeaters will be focusing on loosing weight while people with anorexia & bulimia will be needing to focus in gaining or safetly maintaining their weight.
Having to gain weight doesn't have the corner on ED's even according to the DSM.
