Sending you hugs and positive vibes, sunangel803. You are not alone here. I cannot relate to your desire for wanting to be with friends (schizoid here), but I'm sorry you are feeling this way. Two ideas popped into my mind while reading your post, just wanted to run them by you...

-Perhaps you might benefit from trying to find other friends to hang out with? I imagine they can be found in many places, such as exercise classes, clubs, even bars (if that's your kind of thing). And, of course, there is always Psychcentral and the supportive people here.

-It might be helpful to try engaging in activities on your own...so you can slowly see that you don't need to be with someone else to have fun. Personally, I have the most fun by myself! I guess everyone is different though, right? Maybe start out with small activities, and then you might soon be going to those parties and celebrations, having fun on your own.

I guess for most people, it's about balance. Enjoying time with others, while also doing things alone.
